Overview

VideoHop processes media files you choose to upload so it can perform the conversion, compression, editing, inspection or other media task you request. You do not need to create an account to use the current media tools.

Uploaded and generated files

Uploaded files and generated results are temporary. In the production configuration, temporary upload and converted-file folders are scheduled for automatic deletion after approximately 30 minutes. Failed and cancelled jobs are also cleaned automatically. Exact deletion time can vary slightly with the cleanup schedule.

Browser storage

VideoHop uses local browser storage for interface preferences such as the selected light or dark theme and for a recent-tools list that helps you return to tools you used on that browser. This information is stored locally in your browser and can be removed by clearing browser site data.

Technical server logs

The server may record technical information such as IP addresses, timestamps, request paths, response status, request size and processing time for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and service reliability. Uploaded media contents are not intentionally written into application logs.

Third-party media sources

The current VideoHop media workflows process files uploaded directly by the user. VideoHop does not provide a third-party video-download feature in this release.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when VideoHop's features or data practices change. The date shown at the top of this page identifies the latest version published with the service.
